My wife has been battling cancer for 5 years, the past 2.5 years, stage IV breast cancer. In November of 2013, she awoke with a terrible headache which turned out to be caused by overlapping tumors throughout her brain. She began whole head radiation from the doctor and whole, raw, fruit and vegetable juice/smoothies from me (with the help of a 2 hp Vitamix blender). We also started taking supplements recommended in Dr. Blaylock's book, where we also found our list of fresh produce to use in making the juice/smoothie. The next brain scan revealed the tumors were greatly diminished and my wife's headaches were nearly non-existent. She was able to stop taking steroids for the swelling. We think the Boswellia/curcumin supplement, combined with extra virgin olive oil, took the place of the steroid. To boost glutathione levels, we ingest raw, cut up garlic, take NAC, and many other supplements suggested in this book. There are many, well explained therapies throughout. Dr. Blaylock explains why it is necessary to protect your good cells, not only from cancer, but from what may be worse..., the radiation and chemo cancer treatments.Because of her progress my wife's radiologist calls her his "poster child".

I give this five stars, but it has some short comings.For whatever reason, Blaylock ignores the substantial evidence that high doses of Vitamin C in IV form has been shown to be a very effective treatment for cancer. The dose rates he prescribes are far too low and in the wrong form. Cancer patients should get 2x a week IV vitamin C injections or take liposomal vitamin C, 10 grams a day, daily. See Hoffer/Linus Paulings book, 'Healing Cancer' where they give a statistically proven vitamin/supplement program that will increase survival time 500 %. Blaylock should be ashamed for missing this epic study as it was done by a 2X Nobel Prize Winner. I aslo highly suggest readers understand the science behind Blaylocks recommendation by reading Orthomolecular Medicine for Everyone by Dr. Abram Hoffer. Hoffer gives many, many natural treatment programs for diseases, including one for cancer in his book.Blaylock needs to badly rewrite this book on Vitamin C doses and forms!! This is a major fail, imo, in light of recent and past scientific evidence. Blaylock may have been influenced by the Mayo Clinics highly rigged study on Vitamin C which Dr. Linus Pauling debunked.He also fails to unearth the fact that 50k IU a day of Vitamin D3 was used in the 1920 to treat cancer until the patent was over turned. So the amount of Vitamin D3 he prescribes is very low. See Jeff Bowles recent book on Vitamin D3 in high doses.Also recently high doses of Vitamin B1, in an oil soluable form is being used to treat cancer in Japan and other degenerative diseases, around 1-2 grams per day. Blaylocks doses rates are far too low, imo.He also states incorrectly that lemons, will acidify your blood, they are an alkalizing agent.His treatments for herbs aka Materia Medica is pretty rudimentary and I suggest William Cho's books by Springer Verlog on Materia Medica and consulting with an ND or Chiropractor on an evidenced based herbal program.Also he leave out such potent anticancer herbs as Neem Leaf (now being made into a patented drug for cancer), Cannibis Oil (now in phase one trials in the UK for brain cancer, in a patented, synthetic form), and Sodium Dicholoroacetate, a near 'cure all' miracle treatment available in Canada, through Medicor, Toronto and the highly effective German Hyperthermia treatments. But the AMA would pull his license I suppose if he talked about those natural treatments for cancer that are not toxic and carcinogenic like rad/chemo is.Still he gets so much 'right' if you're only going to recommend one book to a cancer patient this should be it, as its most up to date. Hoffer did most of his ground breaking work on nutrition, high doses of vitamins/minerals/amino acids and cancer during the 1950s and 1960s and 1970S. It's a shame that Blaylock does not promote Orthomolecular Medicine to his readers.

I bought this after my sister was diagnosed with breast cancer. I was already very familiar with Dr. Blaylock and think he's right on target with his advice. This book was absolutely amazing! He's a board-certified neurosurgeon, who at the time of writing this book had treated cancer patients for 30 years. His advice and information was just amazing. He goes into detail about vitamins and minerals, chemo, radiation, and surgery. He gives specific information about which form of vitamin is best and what the dose should be. He tells you the best way to prepare vegetables and so much more. He explains which things should be started before treatment begins, if that is possible. Unfortunately my sister refuses to change her eating habits, but at least I have the information and might be able to help someone else down the road. I trust this man and have already bought several copies as gifts for two nurse practitioners that I know. And I have a fourth to give to someone in the future that might need it. You will not be sorry for choosing this book. I feel like God pointed me right to it when I could have gone ahead and bought a different book. But when I read the name "Blaylock" that was it for me. I hope you will be as pleased with it as I am!

I am a student of Blaylock's. I have read 3 of his books and get his newsletter....and what he says is true. I gave this book to friends who followed the recommendations in this book CLOSELY. They felt good all the way through chemo and radiation!!!! No vomiting, not even tired....in fact they didn't miss a day of work (except treatment days) !!!! Your doctor may tell you that nutrition is not important....but remember he's not the one puking his guts out. Cancer is inconvenient and it takes work and time to heal. Help yourself....Drink the veggies, take the supplements and feel good!

Dr. Blaylock does not proselytize, he simply states the scientific facts of what has been shown to be beneficial - or detrimental - based on scientific research and his own experiences as an M.D. The book is full of great food and supplement suggestions to help with everything from chemotherapy and radiation side effects to slowing down and halting the growth and spread of cancer. I don't have cancer but my wife does (Stage IIIC Colorectal). At some point you realize that your oncologist is not treating cancer, but is managing the symptoms. Then, like us, you will hopefully venture out and do your own research to learn how to actually treat cancer. This book is the first place I'd start.

Super cute book for a baby shower. His room has a robot theme, so how could I not have purchased this?

In her book, ROBOTS, ROBOTS EVERYWHERE, author Sue Fliess teaches children an important lesson--they better find a job that cannot be replaced by a robot. Indeed, robots do pretty much everything in this book from direct air traffic to making donuts. The story is cute and written in rhyming verse with the common refrain of robots, robots everywhere. The illustrations are a funky, emphasis on the FUN! Robots are depicted doing various jobs, but they have human qualities to them such as human physical features and showing emotions.The book is by no means intended to be some sort of scientific essay on modern robotics, but it is a great transition to talking to kids about robots and automation. Reading it led to several YouTube videos of robots doing various things, and it made me really, really wish I could afford a Roomba. Oh well.I bought this book as part of a robot theme around Christmas as an early present on the buildup to giving my kid Kid Galaxy Robot Data. If you are thinking of something similar surrounding robots, there are also affordable Robot Party Favors Lot of 20 Robots and Carson Dellosa Robots Prize Pack Stickers (168063) worth considering.

Kids will love the fun rhymes and clever illustrations about robots they see everywhere both in space and around the house. One friend I gave it to said her son read it four times in one night, and reads it all by himself!

The illustrations in this book are wonderful. My 4 1/2 yr old son laughs every time, and loves to imagine himself as the different children with each robot. The only unfortunate thing is, as with all Golden Books, the way they are bound makes it difficult for little hands to hold the book open all the way, and see all of each awesome image. It's not bad enough for me to take off any stars. At this price, it's a steal. The writing is upbeat, and I enjoy sharing it with my son.There are a few other Robot books we bought at the same time ("Me & My Robot", and "Clink"), he chooses Clink first usually, and then this one at bedtime.

Meh. I wanted to like this book but ... zzzzzzzz. The illustrations are lovely, and for that I give it 3 stars. I have a 4 year old son who loves all things robot and so I was psyched to give this book to him. It held his attention for all of about 5 minutes. The writing is really canned. Imagine if Dr. Suess had a boring cousin Stew, and Stew phoned it in. I've seen better writing in the $1 books, in the impulse buy section at Target.

I brought this for a gift on our beach vacation. My 3 year old Grandson and his 5 year old cousin love this book. It has been requested almost every night for their bedtime story. After the first reading they read it with me. Funny pictures and simple words and story line. The title has become our catch phrase. Robots, Robots Everywhere!

This book is perfect for my now 3 year old who’s obsessed with robots. It’s a cute little rhyming book with just the right amount of words for his attention span highly recommend this one for toddlers.

My soon to be 2 yr old son loves this book. It's his first favorite book. He likes it so much he wore it out. Torn pages and all. After we lost 3 pages I search the chain stores for this book. Lo and behold Amazon had it. Great price and two day shipping. Now he has a new book with all the pages. We read this daily. Sometimes hourly. Robots, Robots, Everywhere!

My preschooler's loved this book! Long enough to keep friends engaged but not so long that it would bore them-- perfect! And the illustrations are awesome! I decorated our science corner with this book and the "design and drill" robot that I found on here and it's been so worth it.

My boys love this series. We found book two at the local library and one of my twins read it in one day, could not put it down! My second twin kept fighting over it with his brother. We just had to get the entire series since the library did not carry the rest of the books. I love that there are tons of reading material (unlike some of the other "minecraft diaries" where the writing are so sparse). Also the pages are glossy with colorful pictures from the game. My boys are eight years old and LOVE minecraft. Great read and perfect for little ones who hates reading but love minecraft! These books will get them reading for sure.

I am a very avid reader and have been looking for a good new series to read for a while. I found Diary of an 8-Bit Warrior/Diary of a Wimpy Villager, and I fell in love!! Many people have their doubts about kid writers but I have to say, this is probably one of the best books I have ever read!! The chracters are well developed and the plot provides enough detail that if you close your eyes you would be in the book yourself! I would strongly reccomend this book not just to Minecraft players, but anyone out there who loves stories!!!To: Cube Kid,You are such a great and inspiring author, especially to Kids like me! well I'm not saying *I* actually love these books but my 9 year old does. He's read most in the series now. and let me say, he is NOT a reader, so anything that gets him to read is a good thing! They are fairly simple books and according to my son, they are "interesting and funny" ( that's his unbiased review) If you have a kindle, they are worth the dollar or 2 if your kid loves mine craft and especially if he's like mine and would rather play than do the dreaded " 20+ minutes a night of homework reading". So when they aren't in the mood to read anything too heavy, these Wimpy Villager books are a good option.

It was awesome, adventure, mobs, Steve? (If people are confused about the ? at the end of his name that's just how you say his name). Those my 10 year old son's words. He loves this series. He likes a good mix of reading content with colored illustrations, he's very into drawing and art. We can't wait for more books to come out.

My 11 year old ADD son, who is incredibly bright. It notna strong reader just somehow LOVEs these books. It was quite a surprise to me. But, it kind of makes sense. Every page pops with Minecraft background graphics. Each paragraph reads like an over edited email, with hardly a sentence with either a bold, italics,underline, different font, or indented. For me, annoying emphasis that is distracting. But, perfect for a kid with ADD or easily bored reader. Only about 1/5 is pictures, which is surprising because it feels like it would be more with all the emphasis. Hey, he is reading now, so I am a believer.

These books aren't the best written, but my 6 1/2 year old son loves them, so they get 5 stars from me. We have read 1 a day! And they are chapter books! My child wants to read a chapter book a day! So he's not learning history or science, but he's reading and loving it! So just another reason to give this series 5 stars! We are almost through the existing 9 books, so I will have to hear "is book 10 out yet?" every day for a while, but that's ok.

My 5 year old absolutely loves it. I was tired of reading Minecraft instructional books for bedtime "story" so I got this. He's an advanced reader and loves to read it on his own though. At least it helped get me off the hook from reading all about Redstone circuits, houses, blah blah blah.

My 10 year old son sat down and read the whole book the moment he got it. He lives this series. Book is sturdy so should endure a lot of reading and re-reading.

I really like this book, and all the books by Mike Lupicia, because they will get my teen son to read! Reading is not his favorite, but he loves sports, and I think he connected with the story. It's not only about sports, but about life as well.

I teach eighth grade and one of my athlete students said he he hasn't read a book on his own in his entire life. Well, today's the last day of school and he finished it. :) Highly recommend for reluctant readers, especially athletes.

I bought this book for my grandson, it is just what I thought it would be. My grandson is 10 and it is a good chapter book for him to start with.

My 9 year old son loved this book. He was able to predict what was going to happen at the end but he still said it was a great book!

Mike Lupica is my favorite author because most of his book are about believing. In this case it is a thirteen year old boy who gets picked out of a raffle to try to win a million dollars by making a football go through a 28 inch hole. My favorite part about it is that there is a girl named Abby who is losing her seeing ability. Will Nate win all the prize money?What will he use the money for? Find out when you read Million Dollar Throw.

I like the cheap hardcover. Great story for football lovers. Especially the patriots

I would recommend this book to people that love football and sports and the Pats. One of the best Mike Lupica books.

I haven't had much contact with the United States Justice System and after reading this book, I am sincerely grateful. Justice isn't always just. After the fight between six teenagers ends with one boy dead, the lives of everyone involved change forever. As the author does a great job of showing, the intentions of the four boys who came to see stab victims Mike McLoren and Jimmy Farris are widely assumed to be that of robbery and murder. The author goes through the series of events that occurred that day in May 1995 from the perspectives of both Mike McLoren and his friend, Jimmy, and the four boys who came to Mike's fort for drugs. A major part of the debate that arose once the four boys were charged was did they come to buy marijuana or steal it. If they came to buy, Jimmy's death looked like manslaughter, which would have had the four boys out of prison in 5-12 years. If the incident was viewed as a robbery (which is how the prosecution saw it), the death became a murder, which could mean life in prison or even death.A case like this results in a lot of strong emotions coming out and as a reader I felt some of those emotions. The grief of Jimmy's family that lead them to condemn the four boys (Micah, Jason, Tony, and Brandon) and their driver (Chris) completely. The sorrow of the boy's families as they watched their loved ones face complete condemnation and the assumptions and wrong information that went with it. The major irritation I felt as the judge and jury took the word of an untrustworthy witness who'd changed his version of events over and over (Mike McLoren). The anger I felt at the whole incident being connected to gang activity that scared the jury into requesting police protection, even though there was no proof of actual gang involvement. A judge who showed no mercy, who let the verdict stand despite evidence of jury misconduct.I found this to be both a fascinating book to read and a hard book to read. To read about the tragic consequences of young people using drugs and alcohol about broke my heart. To read about the awful punishment that the five boys received and to feel that it was not just punishment for what amounted to an accident in the heat of the moment in which all six boys participated. What the book does supremely well though is demonstrate the power of seemingly small, insignificant choices and the power they have to change one's life forever. One inch more or less and the knife would have missed Jimmy's heart and Jimmy Farris would still be alive, and four boys wouldn't be sitting in jail with little to no chance of every being free again.Note: Content wise it's pretty much what you would expect: swearing, teenage drinking and drug use, brief reference to sex, and the brief violence that lead to Jimmy Farris's death.

Terrific read! So well conceived and clear, especially in terms of putting things in context historically. The author really takes the reader inside the world of the boys and their families with compelling and detailed storytelling. Great beach read too even though the circumstances are tragic.

Excellent book! Wonderful writing skills, as well as a fascinating, unbelievable series of events. This is a book everyone should read to become more aware of the ineptitude of our legal system. I could not put the book down. Highly recommended.

One Cut by Eve Porinchak is a nonfiction story on riveted.com. This true telling of a young man's death brings all sides into the light and shows how complicated seeking justice can become. The media attention and heresy escalated the case that didn't have much solid evidence. Regardless of the lack of evidence and even the fact that the young man driving never left the vehicle, they were all still charged with homicide. The book felt one sided and I believe it was written that way to help show the injustice of the entire case. I read it and still haven't come to any conclusions about where the guilt should be placed and I can't imagine the jury's frustration with this case; 3.5 stars.

This is not a tale of complete innocents finding themselves randomly caught up in a situation they have no control over, but one of boys dabbling in petty crimes, cheap thrills, and local disputes with other teens — all of them clueless about how quickly these things can escalate.Eve Porinchak’s well-researched, if somewhat biased account, places us in a football field-sized backyard in sleepy Agoura Hills on the outskirts of Los Angeles on a chilly Monday night in May, 1995. When two groups of local youths clash over a misunderstanding, it tears apart a community and destroys any chance of a normal future for each of the young men involved.Porinchak takes us inside the homes of the horrified teen’s families, revealing their backgrounds and influences.She follows with a not-very-pretty picture of sensational media reporting, and a prejudiced legal community who base their prosecution case on ill-considered precedents. The result is an outcome that makes little sense.This is an uncomfortable read for parents of teenage boys, but an important one.

All Rise The day is September 19th, 2006, a Tuesday. It's a little before 2:30 in the afternoon and the weather is sunny, breezy, and beautiful in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The surf is up just down the street and my stomach is riding a wild wave as the jury of six somberly files into the nearly empty courtroom.I have no idea what to expect. My lawyer, David Pollack, leans a little closer and whispers, 'Well, this is it. . . . ' I wish there was something I could hold onto besides his words since my legs aren't feeling very steady as the bailiff, a very kindly looking older man, intones, 'All rise.'This is a landmark case for Internet defamation, as no precedent has ever been set. My organization has been all but destroyed. My personal reputation dragged through such muck it makes a pig sty seem clean by comparison. David has prepared me as best he can for what the verdict might be. I'm already out over $100,000 with a second mortgage on my house to get this far, but if the jury finds in my favor and grants us even a tenth of that I'll feel vindicated.The Honorable Judge John Luzzo, in flowing black robe and wearing his duties with appropriate dignity, takes his elevated seat on the bench and asks the foreman, 'Has the jury reached a verdict?''We have, Your Honor.' Perhaps in her midthirties, dark haired and pretty, she hands their verdict to the bailiff, who hands it to the judge―he nods in seeming approval―then back it goes from the judge to the bailiff to the foreman. Highly recommended read - this well documented and necessary report is about pioneering internet thugs who were harbingers of how the internet is used to spread invidious allegations weighing on the idea that the more people who spread the lies/conspiracy theories of the mentally ill, somehow truth results.This story reports on "the swarm" as I have dubbed them. Whenever detractors speak out on any internet forum or after a news broadcast on aspects of a related story, which story links to an online comment page, the swarm attacks backed by internet hackers and thieves invade the detractors' privacy. However, their actions are not limited to the internet. They weave allegations and co-sign one another's stories to vilify anyone who may want to shed some light and truth. The swarm are like screaming and stomping little children in the grocery store. So called investigative journalists who have previously been referred to as "parasitic sensationalists" have taken up a tangential stream of the swarm's agenda. Fueled by these same journalists' own hubris, ideological bias (and/or just plain incompetence or laziness) a s**** sandwich of craziness results. Unfortunately, the problem of epistemology is why we will never know exactly how many people have been or will be harmed by the actions of journalists and others who fight to have the swarm's agenda promoted. There is a SEQUEL to this book that needs to be written. Right now, that story is still ongoing.

As someone who is in the throes of a civil case with a cyberstalker I found this book as a beacon of light in what's often depressing and overwhelming to me.There were parts of Sue's story which were incredibly difficult for me to read because I could feel her horror and disbelief on what was happening to her.I'd recommend this book to those who want to be proactive in protecting their name (or business) as well as those who may be in the various stages of cyberstalking or cyber defamation attacks.

Sue and John's book is fantastic! Real, heart-felt triumphant AND incredibly sad. It's amazing to see that finally the malicious attempts to destroy Sue's good name and business were quashed and punished. Vindication is key!It is horribly sad that these individuals would take so much time and energy in an attempt to destroy another person's existence. They most certainly fall in the category of sociopathic and serial cyber bullies. A new internet phenomenon.Sociopath/Serial Bullies (as you will learn) are manipulative and chronic liars! They continuously lie about what they are thinking or have done. Because they are shallow and pathetic, and they lack emotions, they don't feel bad on being rejected by others. They work hard to master their approach and diabolical plans.Sociopath/Serial Bullies are NOT successful in life and do not have the capacity to accomplish anything great. They think they are, but they aren't. WHY? They are LAZY and don't feel they have to put in hard work and hours required for success. They also ARE NOT ACCOUNTABLE for their mistakes. It's easier to steal from others and claim it as their own. They actually blaim those they lie about and steal from. Imagine that?Sociopath/Serial Bullies are ATTENTION-SEEKERS. Instead of productive career paths, they instead, carry out campaigns of hate and aggression to get the attention they so badly want. It doesn't matter what type of attention they get, positive or negative, as long as they can provoke someone into paying them attention. The LAW, LAWYERS and POLICE doesn't phase them.Hats off to Sue and John for educating us and bringing the internet and the law up to speed!

A novel approach to a book. Sue Scheff tells her story of a victim of someone using blogs and other internet sites to attack her character and her life's work. John Dozier, a famous cyber lawyer picks up from time to time and does the background and explanations. They even use a different font treatment for the two authors. Sue's story is compelling and it is clear as day this could happen to anyone and that it would be horrible. John does a great job with the facts outside of the story. I really enjoyed reading it. This is a light read, more like a two -three hour plane ride than a five hour. If there was one area I wish they would beef up, it would be the Michael Fertik, Reputation Defender part of this, but I guess that world keeps some of their secret sauce tips and tricks to themselves and that is certainly fair. If you Google "Sue Scheff", it is clear that she is in control of her brand at this point. Glad I read the book, plan to encourage others from my organization to take a look and give it a thought.
